PSConfEU 2022
More than a week ago, I headed to Vienna for the annual PSConfEU, also known as the European PowerShell conference. There, around 300 IT professionals gather to leverage PowerShell in simplifying their daily IT tasks or resolving business cases with tools written in PowerShell.

Due to Covid, this conference couldn't take place physically for the past 2 years, so I was really looking forward to this experience.
After exploring Vienna, which is also a beautiful city, the conference kicked off on Monday morning. Over the course of 4 days, 40 speakers took turns in 4 rooms sharing their experiences with PowerShell. It was all about learning from each other, picking up tips & tricks, and meeting some companies that have developed handy tools in PowerShell. We really delved into our knowledge during these 4 days.
At PSConfEU, for example, I learned about the tool Au2mator. It's a tool used for optimal management of Active Directory. From requiring fields to be filled in to implementing an approval process, it offers a variety of features that streamline the process. Thanks to my contact with Au2mator at the conference, I am currently testing this tool on my project at VRT with the possibility of putting it into production soon.
There were also some talks organized by Microsoft themselves, given by the PS Team. It was very interesting to hear about their current work and how they handle feature requests.
This was my first PSConf, but I'm already looking forward to the next edition to discover new features and learn more!
