Axxes second in the Great Place To Work ranking 2023!

For the eighth time, Axxes can proudly call itself a Great Place To Work. We've scored a hat trick, as this is the third time we've ended up among the top three companies.

At Axxes, we aim to bring together an ambitious team of IT experts to drive growth for our clients and employees alike. The latter is just as important to us as the former, as it's our 400 experts who make a difference every day in projects for clients such as Port of Antwerp-Bruges, VRT, and HealthConnect.

On average, we spend 1576 hours at work each year. It's crucial that we make that time as enjoyable and engaging as possible. At Axxes, we go to great lengths to achieve this. And it's paying off, as our employee survey shows that an impressive 98% of our colleagues consider Axxes a great place to work! This internal satisfaction has also been recognized by others, as Axxes can once again call itself a Great Place To Work for the eighth time. Moreover, with our second-place ranking, we've landed on the podium for the third time.

Opportunities for growth

The reason we score so highly is due to the strong foundation on which Axxes is built. Everything starts from three important values: Growth, Quality, and Feel Good. Over the past years, Axxes has grown into an organization of over 400 experts, allowing those IT consultants to grow along with it. People can switch roles or projects, ensuring that they are happy and engaged in their daily work.

We aim to stimulate this growth through various initiatives. One of the most prominent is the Axxes Traineeship, which we have been organizing for over ten years. In this program, we provide a group of graduates with the best preparation for a role as a consultant at Axxes. What's remarkable is that this training is entirely conducted by their future colleagues. One in five experts at Axxes participates in this training, thus also growing themselves by sharing knowledge.

Even those who have been with Axxes for a while are given opportunities to continue learning. In our internal competence centers, our experts share knowledge with each other, and competence coaches shape their careers. Axxes consultants can be found both as attendees and speakers at conferences such as NDC, DDDEurope, Techorama, and Devoxx.

We also host our own conferences, including Re:factor. During these events, consultants give lectures and workshops to raise money for charity. Last year, we raised enough funds for Tree-Nation to plant over 5,000 trees!

This isn't our only initiative for a good cause, as Axxes is closely involved with Hack Your Future. This international organization trains immigrants and disadvantaged individuals so they have the necessary skills to start a career in IT. Together with Axxes, they launched a curriculum in Antwerp in 2021, where 20 of our experts teach classes and mentor students.

Feel Good

Because in IT everything revolves around people, we do a lot to ensure that everyone can bring out the best in themselves every day. A healthy work-life balance and a safe environment where strengths but especially weaknesses can be discussed are crucial in this regard.

Feel Good is just as important as the quality we strive for and the growth opportunities we provide. This is also evident in internal surveys, where 98 percent of people cite camaraderie as a crucial factor for Axxes' success.

As a team, we celebrate both the big and small victories, and we seek fun both during and after work. Think of conferences and company trips, but also sporting challenges, game nights, wine tastings, and motorcycle rides. Many of these initiatives originated from colleagues who came up with a good idea, after which we gladly give them every opportunity to make it a success.
